The article highlights how Little Aston Primary School has opted for CCTV equipment from Dedicated Micros

CCTV specialist Dedicated Micros - part of AD Group - reports that the work of Spectre, a DM Fusion programme installer, to secure Little Aston Primary School in Sutton Coldfield has been spotlighted in an extensive three-page feature in the latest issue of Security Installer magazine.

The article, entitled 'Spectre Helps School Play Safe', appears in the magazine's August edition as part of its 'Network Solutions' supplement and highlights how Little Aston Primary School, which has the UK's first ever outdoor interactive playground, has opted for CCTV equipment from Dedicated Micros on the advice of Wolverhampton-based Spectre.

According to the school's Head Teacher Liz Pearce, who is quoted in the feature: "The playground has to be secure and although it is vandal-proof, it's very attractive to unwelcome visitors because it's such a unique item.  We already had CCTV for the school but we felt something more state-of-the-art was required to match our new playground."   To guard against vandalism and theft of the school's new equipment, the extensive article in Security Installer outlines how DM Fusion installer Spectre specified a Dedicated Micros NetVu Connected SD Digital Video Recorder (DVR) and a pole-mounted Dennard 2060 dome camera, both of which can integrate with the existing network of five CCTV cameras.

The feature also highlights the practical benefits for Little Aston's Head Teacher, who it reports: "now has access to CCTV images using the Dedicated Micros NetVu ObserVer software which transfers the images over the school's existing IP network."

Commented Alan Hyder, Editor of Security Installer: "Being able to use the pages of the magazine to detail practical 'real world' examples such as the Little Aston Primary School is at the heart of our strong editorial stance."

"We are particularly interested in the benefits for the end user and - given our readership - the approach taken by the installer to achieve the right result for their customer."

Said Carol Cope, DM Fusion Manager, at Dedicated Micros: "We are very pleased to see a project which involves a DM Fusion Installer receive such prominence in Security Installer magazine and commend the efforts of Spectre to deliver the best possible CCTV solution for Little Aston Primary School."
