FUJIFILM Europe's wide range of Fujinon zoom lenses at Security Essen

FUJIFILM at Security Essen This years' booth of FUJIFLM Europe at Security Essen focused on the great variety of high quality Fujinon zoom lenses. The highlights on the booth were the Full HD zoom lens series with 32x and 60x optical magnification that were presented in live demonstrations. To respond to increasing market demands for colour images even in low light, the lenses are designed for large sensor sizes of 1/1.8” and 2/3”. Fujinon zoom lenses The 60x telezoom lens series D60x16.7 and FH60x20 feature 2 megapixel Full HD resolution. The D60x16.7 lenses are designed for a maximum sensor size of 1/1.8” and cover a focal length range of f = 16.7 ~ 1000 mm while the FH60x20 lenses offer a focal length range of f = 20 ~ 1200mm on 2/3” sensors. Thanks to the built-in 2x extender the focal length can be doubled, giving clear identification and recognition of objects at 4 km distance. Discover additional features such as optical image stabilisation, built-in “Fog-Filter” and Autofocus function. The 32x zoom lenses impress with Full HD image quality across the entire zoom range with maximum focal lengths of up to f = 400 mm (FD32x12.5SR4A) and f = 500mm (FH32x15.6SR4A). To respond to increasing market demands for colour images even in low light, the lenses are designed for large sensor sizes of 1/1.8” and 2/3”. The built-in visible-light-cut filter enables reliable performance even in fog, rain and snow.

Tamron exhibits the DF004, a high zoom varifocal lens, at ASIS 2008
Tamron exhibits the DF004, a high zoom varifocal lens, at ASIS 2008

The DF004 high-zoom varifocal lens will be part of the broad range of lenses exhibited by Tamron at ASIS International 2008.  Visitors to the Tamron booth will be able to learn about the use of surveillance lenses and how to find the best lens solution for their needs. As a result of increasing concern for crime prevention, surveillance cameras are constantly being installed in new and unique locations.  This has brought about a growing demand for integrated camera units, particularly mini dome cameras, which can be installed inconspicuously so they don't impart the overbearing feeling that surveillance cameras can sometimes give, and blend in nicely with the surroundings. Tamron has responded to this growing demand by developing a high zoom ratio varifocal lens which is ideally suited for use with mini dome cameras.  As a lens that can be paired with many popular kinds of mini dome cameras, it offers a high level and wide range of surveillance capabilities. Key features include: Extended wide and telephoto limits - covers a range of 2.8 to 10.5 mm; at the wide end this offers a horizontal field of view of approximately 100 degrees Large, bright maximum aperture of F1.2 Compact design - 14mm mount diameter Can be accommodated within a 3-inch mini dome camera Utilises aspherical lens elements - performs well as a lens for mounting on an integrated mini dome camera Flange back adjustment mechanism is included Designed as an environmentally sensitive product

Tamron announces the development of two vari-focal lenses compatible with megapixel cameras

Tamron has successfully developed two new F/1.4 4~12 mm vari-focal lenses that are compatible with 1/2"-format megapixel-resolution cameras.  These lenses will take full advantage of the performance of high-resolution cameras and offer the resolving power required for true high-precision security surveillance. As is the case with the previously announced high-resolution lenses compatible with 1/3"-format megapixel-resolution cameras, these lenses are suited for high image quality surveillance and can be used for a wide variety of applications.Main features:High image-quality lenses that make the best possible use of the performance offered by megapixel-resolution cameras Using revolutionary optical design technologies, these lenses offer uniform high resolution and high contrast across the entire image - from the centre to the periphery.  Of special note is the fact that resolving power at the periphery is about twice that of earlier models. In addition to reducing aberration through the use of aspherical lens elements and working to further improve image quality, Tamron's design has also succeeded in making these lenses more compact. Tamron's proprietary multi-layer coating has been utilized to reduce levels of ghosting and flare.Lens designed for compatibility with 1/2"-format CCDs In a market characterized by a widening range of CCD sizes, these lenses have been designed to be compatible with 1/2"-format CCDs, so they can be used with cameras featuring larger imagers.  By widening the focal length to 4 mm, wider than the 6 mm wide end that is usual for 1/2"-format lenses, these lenses offer a horizontal viewing angle of over 90 degrees.High precision, high quality construction results in the highest possible performance Each and every part used in these lenses was manufactured with the aim of enhancing precision, and top quality production technologies were used.  Strict controls were used to eliminate image degradation caused by structural problems, such as focal point shift and poor focus in part of the image.Environmentally sensitive design Even electrical parts are lead-free, and the design is in compliance with the RoHS directive.
