Mayflex has expanded its internal sales teams by welcoming on board two new recruitsMayflex, the cabling infrastructure, networking and IP physical security solutions distributor, continues the recruitment drive that began at the start of the summer months, despite recent press reports that six out of 10 channel firms feel that headcount is unlikely to rise this year.

The distributor has expanded its internal sales teams by welcoming on board two new recruits: Alan Gardner joins the company as Internal Sales Executive for the Mobotix brand and will primarily focus on new business development for the Mobotix product range, along with increasing Mobotix awareness and sales with existing customers.  Luke Jones has joined the Networking internal sales team and will primarily be focusing on growing the business on the LevelOne and APC product ranges, with existing customers.

The new recruits are part of a recruitment drive that began in early June, as the company appointed a number of people in key sales roles in order to further develop the business and achieve targeted sales plans for the remainder of 2008 and beyond.  This included new networking sales manager, Andy Foster; Kevin Denton recruited as sub-distribution manager for the UK and Ireland and; Ian Kelly appointed as infrastructure account manager for the Midlands area and North West region.  Mayflex also looked at areas that it was keen to explore further and for the first time, recruited a market development manager, in the form of Paul Cave, to work at the end user level in helping to encourage new business through to the Mayflex accredited partners.  Mayflex also increased its PR Team and welcomed on board Susan Arnold as new PR Executive.

Managing Director, Andrew Percival comments:  "Despite the ‘doom and gloom' messages we are hearing on a daily basis, at Mayflex it is ‘business as normal'.  We have filled a need to recruit in areas that we feel we will have greatest impact in the coming months.  And we are already beginning to see the benefits of having such a diverse and knowledgeable team of people on board.  This will contribute greatly to the continued success and growth of our business moving forward."Mayflex is fast becoming a strong contender in this sector of the market, as greater demand for IP security products increases

Percival concludes: "We set up the IP Security division two years ago and in that time, we have seen considerable growth and activity in this area.  Mayflex is fast becoming a strong contender in this sector of the market, as greater demand for IP security products increases.  Alan's appointment to this sector of our business will be hugely beneficial in order to further increase awareness and sales of the Mobotix brand of products."
